Princess Diana's Wedding Dress

As a little girl I always wondered who Princess Diana is and what courage she had to wear that famous wedding dress. I say it was courageous because it has a 25-foot train and a lace frilled bodice. I pondered the idea of wearing a dress like this one because it became more important than the wedding vows. The wedding was a historic one and no one forgot how sensational it was. I couldn't believe someone so pretty could marry Prince Charles and for several years afterward, I wanted to know how she really felt about the dress and wedding as a whole.

It is known that David and Elizabeth Emanuel designed this dress and they're a husband and wife team from London's Mayfair district. After the wedding Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel's business grew popular, and they were the most sought after designers in that part of the country.

The dress has a Victorian theme with puff sleeves and an amazing train. It's so incredible how Princess Diana was able to sit in the carriage as they waved hello to England's citizens. It clearly was a busy day with amazing scenery.

If you personally had the chance to create something similar to this wedding dress would you wear it? I questioned the dress for myself and the answer is no. However this look works for Diana because she has the figure and the smile for such a dress. It's an amazing 80's wedding dress that takes a turn through history and it's a princess design that works for one of the most famous princesses in the world.

Diana had many other dresses made for the wedding ball and the other dress was made as a spare which could have been for the wedding and it happened just in case something happened to the original dress. Thankfully, the original dress was chosen for her big day in a world that watched the entire ceremony.

New brides-to-be are looking for that perfect wedding dress and there's an option to work with a seamstress who can help you design a custom dress that works well for you. Princess Diana trusted two fashion designers to help her with a perfect fit no one else wore before and it worked wonderfully. Diana was so young and sweet in those early years and she remained a fashion icon to her generation and so much so for this century.
