Bella Swan's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress

Breaking Dawn Part 1: Summit Entertainment

For over a hundred years, movies have always presented the wedding dresses of amazing leading ladies who had the script for the wedding of their age. Bella Swan's character, in the Breaking Dawn Saga, wore a sophisticated wedding dress thousands of brides-to-be wanted for their weddings. A teen couple with a teen Bride is a cute fairy tale story of love and redemption. While Bella's friends believed she was pregnant to marry so young, the truth is Edward would love her always through marriage and he proved his love for her with his mother's ring.

It was a beautiful wedding with flowers everywhere and the guest list included some familiar vampires from a different coven. A family friend noticed the wolves there and was so upset she had to leave. Bella's friends noticed the new faces at the wedding and were curious as to who they were.

The fashion worn after the wedding was a taupe shift dress with a Prada Vernice patent belt. This is all I could find concerning her honeymoon dress. Mrs. Bella Cullen had this dress on while flying in the private plan and landing in Brazil. I always wondered why Edward chose Brazil for their honeymoon and what was so intriguing about it.

Bella wanted to change before the wedding and thought he would during the honeymoon, however Edward had different plans...Wanting to keep Bella the way she is- as a human, and this desire didn't stop him from being intimate several times during the honeymoon. After noticing he bruised her, the intimacy stopped and Bella felt a bit down after that.

After seeing Bella trying to walk in the shoes Alice gave her...More brides to be researched these amazing shoes and discovered they're Manolo Blahnik white satin heels! These shoes had an early release and were sold for $1,295. The film helped to market Blahnik shoes and the name became popular among fashion buyers.

Engaged for several months, Bella's dress was beautifully designed and she wore it in style with amazing shoes and accessories. The other wedding dress, in Bella's dream was made with a vintage feel and design so much so, thousands of people Googled Bella's nightmare wedding dress. The dress was so popular the designer started making more by hand and selling them for over $35,000 each.

The dress was designed by Carolina Herrera- one of the most popular wedding dress designers today. She said:

"Being a big follower of The Twilight Saga, I was very flattered to be a part of this fantastic project," she told Vogue. "I read the books and saw the first film and have been a fan ever since." Considering the huge fandom and intense excitement surrounding the fourth film, there was a fair amount of pressure to perfect the dress design. “It had to be magical,” Herrera explained at the Breaking Dawn premiere. “I still have all the sketches and everything because it was so special" (People, 2023).
In order to bring Bella's wedding dress to life, Herrera first had to consider the source material. "I was of course inspired by Stephenie's description of the gown in the book, but I added the touch of Herrera and also took into consideration the personality and the style of the bride," she told Vogue of her design process. The designer opted to create a crepe satin and French Chantilly lace gown, which took six months and four seamstresses to make. The dress featured 152 covered buttons along the back — a detail Bella mentions in the book's description of the gown — along with an illusion lace applique and train. The long sleeves featured another 17 buttons each and additional lace detailing, while a subtle V-neckline completed the elegant bridal look.

This wedding dress also reminds me of Anastasia Steele's dress in Fifty Shades Freed and rumor has it the author of that series wanted the franchise to favor the Twilight saga. For example, Mr. Grey lives in Seattle, Washington and the vampires in Bella Swans life are from Washington state. Either way, Bella Swan looks amazing in this dress and if Washington can host perfect weddings, they'll certainly have sensational wedding dress boutiques. The wedding day was a beautiful one without rain or fog and it's a memorable scene in this movie.

The crazy, amazing ideas you can come up with from watching Twilight is to have the story as a theme for your wedding. The food and drinks could be a fun revelation on how much you love the movie and your wedding dress and hair can resemble Bella Swan's on her wedding day. The placement cards and wedding favors can also be used to make your guests smile at the idea they're attending a Twilight wedding.
